Summer Multi-Species Success: Chinook, Black Drum & More!

Kumar and I headed out for a summer afternoon session that started with some early morning rain but cleared up beautifully by the time we hit the water around mid-afternoon. Clear conditions made for perfect visibility and comfortable fishing throughout the rest of our trip.

We focused on bottom fishing and casting with lures, mixing in some drift fishing to cover different water columns. Kumar landed a solid mix including Chub Mackerel, Black Drum, Chinook Salmon, and Southern black bream. The variety of techniques really paid off as we were able to target different species effectively. Bottom fishing produced the Black Drum while the lures brought in that nice Chinook. We wrapped up the trip with great catches and smiles all around.
