Action-packed day from the get-go! I took Raj and their crew out for some BackCountry fishing with Ray Chaters in Butler Beach this summer. We hit the water in the late afternoon, greeted by partly cloudy skies that made for perfect fishing conditions. The waters around Butler Beach were inviting, setting the stage for what would be a memorable outing. Ray Chaters always delivers when it comes to prime fishing spots, and this trip was no exception.
Once the stage was set, we dove right into the action. We employed a mix of bait casting, trolling, and sight fishing techniques, which proved to be the right combination for the day. Our efforts paid off when we hooked into a nice Mahi Mahi, also known as Common Dolphinfish. It measured a respectable 14 inches, giving Raj and their crew a good fight and an even better story to take home. The BackCountry waters around Butler Beach really showed why they're a top spot for anglers looking to tangle with some quality fish.
