Shrunga Hooks Sharks & Trout on Kaveri River Evening Trip!
Non-stop bites all day long! Shrunga and I headed out for our summer evening backcountry fishing adventure around 6:00 pm with clear conditions throughout the day. The Kaveri River Basin offered perfect water conditions for our Jacksonville area trip. Ray Chaters specializes in these 4 Hour Fishing Adventures that showcase the best of Florida's backcountry fishing opportunities.
Once the stage was set, we worked the flats using sight fishing and topwater casting techniques before switching to live bait fishing. Shrunga landed a solid Atlantic Sharpnose Shark along with a nice Brook Trout during our session. This backcountry location works perfectly for these techniques because the shallow waters and structure provide ideal conditions for both sight fishing and live bait presentations. We wrapped up the trip with great catches and smiles all around!
