Action-packed day from the get-go! San and I headed out for some late afternoon backcountry fishing around Palm Beach this fall, starting around evening time. Partly cloudy skies with storms brewing made for interesting conditions, and we worked the waters near Butler Beach where the action was waiting for us!
Once the stage was set, we mixed up our approach with fly fishing, spin casting, and bait fishing to cover all our bases. The speckled trout were cooperative, and San picked up some nice fish using multiple techniques throughout the trip. Palm Beach backcountry is perfect for this kind of versatile fishing - y'all can work the mangrove maze with flies then switch to bait when the bite gets hot! We wrapped up with bent rods and great memories, cruisin' the flats until the weather started moving in.
