Non-stop bites all day long! Ambika and I headed out for an afternoon backcountry fishing trip in fall around Butler Beach, dealing with partly cloudy skies and rain that rolled through both morning and afternoon. The water conditions at Butler Beach set us up perfectly for what turned into a solid day targeting speckled trout in the shallows and grass flats that make this area so productive.
Once the stage was set, we worked the backcountry waters methodically, focusing on the structure and grass beds where sea trout love to ambush baitfish. Butler Beach offers excellent backcountry fishing opportunities because of its diverse habitat - from shallow flats to deeper cuts where trout move with the tides. Despite the intermittent rain, we managed to put several nice sea trout in the boat throughout the afternoon. We wrapped up the trip with great catches and plenty of action that kept us busy all day long!
The backcountry waters around Butler Beach continue to produce excellent sea trout fishing, especially during fall when these fish are actively feeding before winter. If you're looking to experience some of the best backcountry fishing this area has to offer, I'd love to get you out on the water for your own fishing adventure. The diverse habitat and year-round fishing opportunities make Butler Beach an ideal destination for anglers wanting to target sea trout and other inshore species.
