Florida Winter Inshore: Drift & Bottom Fishing Adventure

What a great day out, couldn't ask for more action! Shrunga and I headed out this winter morning around mid-morning for some inshore fishing here in Florida. The weather started off nice but we could see it becoming cloudy in the afternoon, which actually worked in our favor for keeping things comfortable on the water. We had the whole backcountry to ourselves and the tide was rollin' in just right for what we had planned.

Once the stage was set, we focused on drift fishing and bottom fishing techniques that work so well in these Florida waters. We mixed in some casting when the opportunities presented themselves, working different spots to see what was holding fish. The inshore fishing around here is perfect for this kind of approach because y'all get such variety in structure and depth changes. We didn't stick a trophy on this run, but every cast and minute on the water was worth it, and we wrapped up with great memories and tight lines all around!test
