Perfect hunting conditions with clear skies at Butler Beach today.
Hot bite and happy crew! San and I headed out this October afternoon for some serious brush hunting action down in Florida. Clear conditions throughout the day made for perfect hunting weather, and we were ready to put our still hunting skills to work with Ray Chaters guiding the way.
Once the stage was set, we focused on still hunting techniques to work the thick cover where white-tailed deer like to bed down. The brush country around Florida gives us perfect opportunities for drive hunting and push hunting when the deer get spooked and start moving. We managed to get winded a couple times, but that's just part of the game when y'all are working heavy cover like this!
The afternoon hunt paid off when we connected with a nice white-tailed deer that won't be flagging anymore. Florida's thick brush provides excellent habitat for whitetails, and our combination of techniques really works well in this gator country terrain. San didn't get buck fever when it counted, and we wrapped up the hunt with smiles all around!
If you're thinking about booking a brush hunting adventure, our hunted ground here in Florida offers some of the best white-tailed deer hunting you'll find.
