Target Mallards, Deer & Hogs in Florida's Prime Hunting Zones

Non-stop bites all day long! I took Sanjana out for a summer afternoon hunt here in Florida, starting around 2:00 pm with partly cloudy skies and storms brewing on the horizon. The weather kept things interesting as we worked through our bird hunting plan with Ray Chaters.

Once the stage was set, we focused on pass shooting and decoying techniques to target the mallards moving through the area. Sanjana connected on white-tailed deer, feral swine, and mallard during our hunt. Florida's diverse habitat makes it perfect for this style of hunting - the mix of wetlands and open areas gives us multiple opportunities with different species.

We wrapped up the hunt with walk-up hunting as the afternoon progressed, making the most of the changing weather conditions. The variety of game we encountered really showed why this area produces such consistent results for hunters willing to adapt their approach.
