Spot-and-Stalk Success: Mule Deer & Whitetail Action in NY
Hot bite and happy crew! I took Sanjana out this August for a midday hunt around Florida, NY. Partly cloudy skies with storms brewing made for decent hunting weather. We ran our legacy hunt package with Ray Chaters.
With our gear rigged and ready, we focused on spot-and-stalk tactics mixed with some pass shooting opportunities. Sanjana connected on both mule deer and white-tailed deer during our time out there. The Florida, NY area gives us solid options for these hunting methods with good visibility and animal movement patterns.
The terrain around here sets up perfect for spot-and-stalk work, and we had chances to use pass shooting when the deer moved through their travel corridors. We wrapped up the hunt with smiles all around and tags filled.
