Florida City Legacy Hunt: White-Tailed Deer Success Story

What a great day out, couldn't ask for more action! Took Sanjana out this October for a late morning hunt under cloudy skies with rain threatening all day. The weather kept things cool and comfortable as we headed into the backcountry around Florida City for our legacy hunt with Ray Chaters.

Once the stage was set, we focused on spot-and-stalk techniques mixed with some pass shooting opportunities. Sanjana stayed patient and we managed to connect on a nice white-tailed deer! The jump shooting worked perfect when we got winded on our first approach, but persistence paid off. This gator country terrain gives us plenty of cover for different hunting styles.

The overcast conditions kept the deer moving longer than usual, which made for great hunting all morning. We wrapped up the hunt with smiles all around, and y'all know there's nothing better than notching a tag on a successful hunt!
