Hot bite and happy crew! Anoosha and their crew joined me for a September hunt during the late morning hours, and we had partly cloudy skies with some rain rolling through. The weather kept things interesting as we worked the Florida backcountry, and y'all know how those conditions can change the game out there. Ray Chaters had us set up for The legacy hunt with three hunters ready to get after it.
With our gear rigged and ready, we focused on spot-and-stalk techniques along with some pass shooting opportunities when the birds started moving. The jump shooting worked well when we got winded on our initial approach! Florida's diverse terrain gives us plenty of options to switch up our tactics, and the crew adapted quick to each situation we found ourselves in.
The rain actually helped push some movement our way, and we made the most of every opportunity that came through. We didn't notch a tag on this hunt, but every hour in the field was worth it, and the crew had a blast working different techniques throughout the day.
If you're thinking about getting out for some Florida hunting action, our legacy hunt program covers all the techniques that work best in this gator country terrain. We run spot-and-stalk, pass shooting, and jump shooting depending on conditions and what the day brings us. Ray Chaters has been guiding these Florida waters and backcountry areas for years, and we know how to put you on the action when it's time to get serious. The Kaveri River Basin area gives us access to prime hunting grounds, and our airboat setup lets us cover water and get into spots other folks can't reach. Whether you're new to hunting or been at it for years, we'll work the techniques that match your experience level and make sure you get the most out of your time in the field with us.
