September Afternoon Delivers Whitetail and Gator Action!
What a great day out, couldn't ask for more action! Took Sanjana out this September afternoon for some serious hunting down in Florida, NY. We launched around 3:15 pm with partly cloudy skies and storms brewing in the distance, perfect fall conditions for getting after it! This was our legacy hunt with Ray Chaters, and we were ready to make it count.
With our gear rigged and ready, we started with some spot-and-stalk work through the thick cover. The crew picked up a nice White-tailed Deer early on, then we switched over to pass shooting when the action heated up! Later in the hunt we connected with an American Alligator using jump shooting techniques. Florida, NY has been producing consistent results this season, the diverse terrain gives us plenty of options to work with different approaches.
We wrapped up the hunt with smiles all around, y'all! The partly cloudy conditions kept things comfortable while we were cruisin' through gator country. Even with those storms threatening, we never got skunked and managed to avoid getting busted by our targets. What a way to spend an afternoon in the backcountry!
